Subject:      Buzzer is going off - rear lights

1.9 Vanagon, water cooled, '83 model.
I have disconnected the front and the rear lights, and the buzzer is not going off.  Connected one rear light and the buzzer is going off on that side, but not the other.  Take that off and connect the other side rear lights, the buzzer will go off on that side and not the other.  
The question is; where do I look for the fix.  
Yes, it is the buzzer.
