Jonathan, as usual you do things right. Congratulations on the great write up that was missing in the archives. It's a GREAT document and many folks out there should follow your lead. These cables, some 30 years old, have corroded internally and are offering enough resistance to create the hard or inconsistent starting problem many are complaining about. There is nothing visible that you can see to say "change me" the copper strands inside the cable are corroded and the resistance of the cable has escalated ! Time to change all the cables !
