Took the Vanagon down to Vancouver (WA) yesterday to buy a rear seat & tracks, visited a friend and stopped at Powell's book store while we were down there. Not too many Vanagons on the way but I did notice a lot of "RV parks", some fancy, some not but there seems to be a lot of people living in RV's out here.

For the "how to" part of the seat track adventure I hit the archives of this list and TheSamba, "westy rear seat", "rear seat install", "rear tracks" & "rear seat" were some of the searches. The best info came from the archives of this list.

On the way back I was tired, we swapped drivers at a rest area and I took a nap. This was the first time I'd sat in the Eurovan seat that is installed in the passenger position, cranked that sucker way back, pulled down my hat and went to sleep. Comfortable seat and being able to recline it a lot was good.

Time to get the seat in the '84 Westy, drilling and cutting and stuff like that, it's been some time since I used my router. This should be interesting. I need the seat so we can take more people when we go camping in south central Oregon next week.

For you folks looking for travels... the weekend of 20-21-22 is an air show in Santa Rosa, CA, a fly-in at the Vancouver, WA airport and Seattle is having hemp fest that weekend. There is a kite festival out at Long Beach, WA is the whole week of 15-21st.
