Probably this last...Liability and it's "assignment" seems a driving force in many countries now.

Here is a quote (from a T-shirt) that I try to heed in my daily living....

"I do not intend to tip-toe carefully through Life, only to arrive safely at Death"

When I think about all the less-restricted behavior that is the norm in most of the world, I gotta laugh at some of our "warning labels" and some of the 'settlements' that have been awarded in our legal system... I like the ones about..."Danger!, this hot coffee is hot. You could burn your lips" or 'do not put your had in the flames'... I'm sorry that all vehicles seem to be designed to understeer, now a days, because then the car makers won't be held liable for a car "spinning-out" when the driver screws up with an understeering car...the vehicle plows off the road and *that* can be called.."he drove right off the road, going too fast" rather than "the car spun out" (going too fast)

Vanagon content? Anyone ever done any wild driving in their van? It takes some getting used to not having anything in front to judge how far out the rear end may be hanging in a drift....(only possible on very slick roads) Don Hanson
