Total newbie comment I'm sure... I'm just into my 2nd month of owning a Vanagon and every time I drive I think it's wild! love it. Going from my 2005 Jetta TDI to the 82 Vanagon TD is like night and day. Might be not having power anything, might be these tiny wheels, might just be what it is. My old notchback wasn't anything like this, and i have to say the wild and slow is taming a different part of me (right up there with Neil Y's closing note "1.6 na (sorry I'm in the way driving so slowly!)").

I hope to never have to test my skills to the level Benoit did though...
