hi John, when you find those kits, ask about kits to rebuild PS steering rack too, if it's convenient.

I have about that many not-that-long-ago rebuilt power steering racks that need new seals or 'not too much' to make them all happy again, so would be nice to know of a source for a kit on those.

I believe in Lucas brand power steering treatment and stop leak too, as a service, not as a patch.

i think it's important to get old ATF out of working PS systems and some new fresh in. there's also a fitler screen in the bottom of the PS resevoir too.

I like Carats a lot.. very 'sports car' version of a vanagon. I have the first version of what became the Carat .. an 87 Wolfsburg .. it's lowered like a carat, has the jump seats and fold-out table, and all the goodies... but doesn't have the cladding down the side, which I like a lot.

Carat's are super special vanagons in my world. Scott www.turbovans.com

oh btw ... I'm getting ready to post an ad on thesamba.. a super sharp and expensive SVX Syncro Westy. Located in Southern Oregon.
