Subject: Body parts for Mellow Yellow
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Last month my 84 got struck by another vehicle which was driven into it by a third car. I'm wrangling with the insurance company and it ain't easy. Leaving aside those details, I took the van to three body shops here in Bend, Ore., yesterday to get quotes on fixing the damage.

One shop looked at the job as a case of banging out and reusing the old parts. The other two looked at it as replacing the old parts with new, or good parts. Problem is, they said, the needed parts are discontinued.

"Maybe I can find them," I said.

So here's what's needed:

R Quarter Rear Corner Panel, 251 813 368 A R Quarter Reinforcement, 251 813 354 R Quarter Join Plate, 251 813 400 R Lwr Quarter Outer Pnl Reinf, 251 813 196 R Quarter Closing Plate, 251 813 362 R Lwr Quarter Rear Corner Panel 251 813 358 Liftgate (hatch) nameplate, 245 853 685 Liftgate nameplate, 245 853 689 C Rear Bumper Face Bar, 251 807 311 M Rear Face Plate, 255 807 123 A BG

Anyone have any idea where to get such things? I don't possess the equipment or skill to cut them off a parts van, and I don't have a parts van, nor do I have a place to park a parts van.
