The pin will come out either way. Usually use a pin punch and tap it upwards, then clean out the grease and retrieve the pin..Not a big deal. I sometimes reverse the cup on the shaft..Seems to be tighter that way on the shift rod shaft.

Bentley doesn't say mucha bout driving out the pin that holds the cup to the end of the shift lihkage. Anyone have any advice on removing the cup?
