I say don't waste your time with that.
It requires quite a bit of planning and modification to get in, and just
won't be quite "right", since it is meant to fit the flat surface of the
roof on a westfalia. That's one piece i've left out in my conversion, as
well as will leave out in my next one (Coming soon!).
I also leave out the "spice rack" over the kitchen. I just don't need it,
and it's not worth my time to get it right. I love the visibility of having
no rear cabinet!
It's not uncommon for me to hear that the big disadvantage of a westfalia is
that "it has less visibility", as far as i'm concerned I have lost NONE (The
rear cabinet doesn't effectively block anything in my mind. Now if it were
on the other side..... we'd have a problem!).
My vote, leave it out.
