Hi all. The slider window repair works fine. Just felt like using what was on hand. These are mods I came up with AFAIK. (please. if someones done it, I don't recall seeing it. Not trying to lay claim to your work) :) As per the mod some others have done, I installed a version of the extension tube for arm post on rear table. The mod I did allows stock clamp to stay released, so table swings *very* easily or be held in place with stock clamp. Changing table height is easy; grab arm near post, pull up and move pin. If holes on post are drilled straight, post is lined up straight to extension parts and stock hole, the post itself doesn't rub much or at all on ID of drain part. Most or all the friction on new parts happens between bolt head and drain part. The new parts should last a long time. Note: I went to some trouble to align the extension piece and take out play between stock post and ID of extension piece. Used ABS, added material to OD and inserted length of EMT cut lengthwise, as bushing. ABS held to cabinet wall corner with 2 "Z" shaped brackets. I understand a pipe can be inserted. Like this: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=318998&highlight=table Likely stronger than what I did, and possibly less work, but mine is steady and strong. As long as no one uses it as a step stool to get upstairs.... ;) In terms of the table height mod itself, it seems to me that the table should be left at original height if passengers riding in rear. Just my .02 Yes my mod is a little "belts and suspenders" but for me this makes sense. I'll be curious to try it out in real live camping!
