We just got back from a trip to Blaine, WA and I was amazed at how much less rabid the drivers were generally. Seattle and the surrounding metro areas up and down I-5 were a mess, which was to be expected, but we managed to get through Portland at off times so no issues. I was so much more relaxed. My normal driving is in and around the SF Bay Area so that can make you nuts, although Seattle traffic was on the verge of making me even more stressed, which was difficult to believe.
