Volks, As many of you know, on Friday 8/13 we lost an icon in the VW Bus Community .. Bob (Robert S) Hoover. We will be making a $250 donation to the International Myeloma Foundation from the PIFF (Pay it Forward Fund) in Bob's memory ..... in the name of his many friends in the VW community. If you would like to honor Bob's memory and join us, please go to the website of the International Myeloma Foundation at http://myeloma.org and click on "DONATE". If you are not familiar with Bob, his blog is a very informative, interesting, and eclectic read. http://bobhooversblog.blogspot.com/ You will see his many and varied interests represented there. Those interests included flying, homebuilt airplanes, working with wood, riveted aluminum, welded steel tubing, gun smithing, amateur radio, astronomy and auto mechanics at the practical level, roaming the west in an old VW bus, prospecting, ghost towns and abandoned air fields. Cooking, fishing, camping and raising kids. Bob was a wonderful character who contributed a great deal to so many. We have not been able to reach Bob's wife, so if anyone knows of an email address for her, please send it to us.
