Four inches and that will be a tight fit. Make sure that you don't get a pair that "rise" too far from the door either, you've only got about 2 cm of space between the door and the dash.

OK, I searched the archives a dozen different ways and couldn't find the info. What is the size of the stock speaker opening on the front doors? A DPO of my '85 installed new speakers that prevent the window cranks from rolling the windows down. TIA, Jeff
