Why are you directing your replies to me Greg? I have two Vanagons and one 2007 Subaru Legacy Limited Wagon, all bought in Washington State and imported to Canada by me.

1) I assure you that vehicle exports are now under the auspices of Homeland Security. http://www.dhs.gov/files/bordersecurity.shtm

2) I imported my '84 in 2000 and paid PST and GST plus the standard $100.00 eco fee for air conditioning.

3) You might want to actually look at your father's Customs bill before advising Joy any further.
