Unlike Mr. Squirrel, I don't need anything more cheerful (really. what
could be more cheerful than brown?  <grin>) but like the idea of
adding UV reflective material to help keep my Westy cooler.

I know nothing of sewing beyond fetid patches on jeans and attaching
wayward buttons.

Did you attach the new fabric by stitching it to the center of the
original panels or to the edges? My guess is the edges. If so.....

Did you use just a few stitches every few inches or so on the edges?
How did you align the new panels? Was a second set of eyes needed?
(assuming one doesn't remove the existing curtains)
