Yes, there is a  connection in the OEM pipes just to the rear of the fuel
tank.  If there  were not a connection there then you'd have two pipes seven
feet long to  deal with.  Pretty hard to install when that long !  The hoses
I sell  have been in use for well over 10 years and no problems.  Easy to
install,  read the instructions on my webpage.
