I have seen quite a few with "pinhole" patterns, mostly marketed
toward parents trying to keep babies in car seats comfortable.  I have
a couple of them in the garage.  I've seen tens of thousands of others
that are translucent at best (pickup truck neck shade and/or rear
window graphics, anyone?) and thousands of the towel/blanket version
that Karl mentioned, plus all manner of other methods both retail and
homemade.  On I-10 in Phoenix (Litchfield, actually) I saw a woman
driving with a cardboard shade on the passenger side of the
windshield, emblazoned with a large-red-letter warning to NOT use it
while driving.

Many (especially commercial) vehicles which are too light to require
additional licensing criteria (CDL, etc.) are available for purchase
with no windows aft of the front seats.  Right side mirrors are
required everywhere that I know of.  A small number have convex
mirrors at the upper rear corners to provide some rear visibility.
They increasingly have rear cameras and radio proximity backup
sensors.  Given the right mindset, driving with no rear windows at all
is perceived to be acceptably safe and legal.  Tint/curtains are no
less safe.  It is always the driver's responsibility...
