Tom, it's only a matter of time. And at the minimum you are going to see, instead of a parts shelf, a computer and a CNC machine 'printing' parts on demand. Already being done on a big scale in the publishing industry. Once the principal is proven to work it's just a matter of working out the details. The progression of science into a technology into engineering to a usable product.
