A black friend of mine introduced me to Vanagons. He has a love/hate (surprising?) relationship with Vanagon Westies and at last count, he has bought and sold at least 5 of them. By the time I met him, he was on his 2nd Westy and he gave me advice on what to look for and he and his wife went with me to look at a 91 Vanagon in Connecticut which I now own. He purchased his 4th Westy from Karl Mullendorein and I drove him to Karl's place in MD to pick it up.

My wife and I owe him a great deal of thanks for introducing us to the wonderful world of Vanagons.
