Funny I has a 72 and just 'upgraded' to an 82 AC Westy, because I wanted the pop top and the greater room than the ol Bay for camping with my now bigger family. But I too feel weird calling it a Bus or even waving to 'real' Bus drivers. I dont know why I feel that way, officially it still feels like a bus but deep down I know it is not as cool looking as the ol Bus was.
But then again I also feel like the WC crowd judges me too since it may not be considered at 'real' Vanagon :) since it is an AC
Am I a man with no family or should I be accepted by both groups..... or maybe I will just buy a Nissan Quest (what!?) :)
