It's built in HD radio for me, with our music piped into a front panel jack, from GPS, MP3 player or Walkman. (yep, cassette tape) I've only used the CD hole a couple of times just to prove that it works. <G>

Mfg is Dual, (from Crutchfield, but NLA) and the player is basic- extra features just the front panel jack but no iPod controls or USB hole. Display and controls are vastly superior to the two Sony units that preceded it.

The HD feature is a must here in Atlanta, which is, IMO Radio Wasteland. With it, we now have a 3rd channel on our lonely public radio channel which broadcasts talk exclusively.

George/ATL
