Subject: Dometic 182 Fridge Igniter Dimensions Image (my drawing)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi all.

Measured the igniter while my fridge was out. It works. but casing on wire at ceramic is on it's last legs. Wire basically sits there. A daub of RTV should hold it for a while. I measured so I could scout stores when out traveling or whatever.

Should have taken pics, and I'm not a draftsman ("Dammit Jim. I'm a doctor not a draftsman!"). As such (no I'm not a doctor) I missed measuring the OD of ceramic, but these should suffice.

Looked online and only saw one generic BBQ/stove part that comes close. IIRC though, tip pointed the wrong way (away from burner)

Here's one that at least shows a substitute may be out there (though who knows. Might just be vaporware). Appears to be off shore:

I also saw electrode/ceramic units with a spade type connector. One could size up their own wire.

YMMV as we say, and in most situations one would have part in hand, but for anyone else wanting to experiment sizing up a substitute for future needs, or if a person who knows BBQ/stove parts wants to chime in ..........

Pretty sure this part is NLA though there may be NOS somewhere.

Neil.
