I got my Kensington 12V adapter from my local Apple store over a year ago
and have had
not problems with it, the cig outlet, etc. This may just be an indication
that the cig lighter
outlet is the weak point in your system, and you may have a ground problem
up front,
and the heat generated by that made the socket fail?
