A helpful friend with ETKA access confirmed for me that what I'm looking at is one piece, the spring is part of it, so I'm going to have to figure out some kind of replacement. Maybe I'll rig my own return modeled like the clutch one where you could replace it without removing the dash and disassembling the pedal assembly.
