I still have some holding my water in on my inline four/vanagon. Started squirting about 80 miles from home about 3 months ago. Took a while to find the leak..a split in the hose from the motor to the rear heater..I taped it up on the side of the road and made it home, checked again frequently to find no leakage, yet. Still in there...though I have the replacment hose in the van now so if and when it spits again, I can remove the "rescued" hose with the new one.

Well worth having along on trips. I also carry now an assortment of double ended hose barbs and clamps. If a hose pops, I can cut it and insert the barb for a temp repair.
