I found that the spark is not there where it should be.  It usually is
between the sensor and the Piezo wire.  Not very good because that is too
far for the gas.  But it will ignite all the gas that accumulates in the
chamber and it will have a little explosion in there.  But no fire.  Now, I
put the wire closer to the flute, above the gas openings and it lights every
time the first time.
And while I'm with it, I blow every pipe and cavity out with compressed air
and clean the back of the fridge and the area well.

Hey guys, someone mentioned they were having similar issues to mine about a
week ago.. My fridge keeps blowing out,  hard starts sometimes and some back
firing.. I had it out and did the valve upgrade.. It seems to me like the
fridge in my 84  worked better on propane then this one in my 87.. Any
sugestions??
