Thanks, Scott. Got it, and it does seem to me that it will be useful, any time I put oil in the engine, change or add (I never have to add oil, though, level doesn't go down between changes). I don't know why, when I've looked at the filler tube before, it did not appear to have anything that would extend. Turns out, just pull up on the rim of the tube, and up the extension comes. Someone else suggested using an implement, but I see no need to. Fingers are all the implement needed. DMc
