You'd need to keep the tape from making the hose buckle, but you have to do that regardless. With two people likely much easier uninstalled. With one, have to figure out how to hold it, 'cause dealing with the tape is pretty much a two-handed job. Could fill it with pebbles to keep the shape -- hard to do when it's installed.
