Hey! VW weekend went great here in Eureka Springs, AR! There were over 200 VWs in the parade last Saturday and at least a hundred more in the town! Regrettably, I wasn't able to cruise the town in Mean Mr Mustard. Boyfriend 9am to 3:30 pm working on the van and I spent the better part of my evening hours plugging the loose ends up and clamping them. Finally I put gas in the van and waited for a jump to see how our fuel line job worked. When the battery's jump came the next day (I was at work, Boyfriend handled this part), the van still wouldnt start. Boyfriend said that it seems like the engine isnt getting the spark it needs to ignite the vans fuel. Today I went to the house where the van is parked, sat in the drivers seat and turned the key. The van made the initial starting sound much slower and with less force than what is normal, and it didn't turn on. The vanagon in question is an 82 that runs on unleaded, it is not a diesel. Anyone have a little input and advice? Thanks so much! Samantha and Elliot Eureka Springs, AR 1982 AC Vanagon GL |
