RE: Tire Temps I use a small Radio Shack IR thermometer to check tire temps and wheel hub temps especially on long trips. Check hub temperatures to spot one hub hotter than the others as a sign of potential bearing problems. And I look at tire temps going on the assumption that if my load is properly distributed and the inflation right the temps will all be about the same. Stopping after long runs in Summer weather I usually see something from 85º F to 100º F. And will see a definite difference from side to side if driving with hot Sun on only one side of the van. |
