its a non-GL vanagon. they made them like that in 90-'91. supposed to have black steel bumpers, not chrome, though. chris

I'm thinking about the purchase of a 91 Vanagon. The picture of it is poor, so I can't tell a whole lot, and I want some background before I call the owner.

The car is a silver automatic, and does not have the cladding but has chrome bumpers and end caps. The ad says it has jump seats and a folding bed, but no mention of any other Carat or Wolfsburg amenities like a table. I can't tell about the mirrors from the image.

The car is said to be in excellent condition inside and out, with good motor and AC. It currently will only go into reverse, and needs a muffler.

It looks to have steel wheels, which neither of my 90 or 91 had.

Let me know what you know about this model.
