Your last line answered my first question.

Though they are not reinforced, they are probably adequate to the task, but will probably not have the crisp(?) handling you would get from full reinforced truck-type tires. I used old Michelin X tires when the original Contis wore out way back and was not happy with the handling, but didn't know enough back then to figure out the problem.

Five 'em a try and see what you think, handlingwise.
