You're asking what version of '91 7 passenger Vanagon this might be ?
sounds like a GL to me.
it would have a Z-Bed rear seat for sure.
jump seats make one think it might be a Wolfsburg.
there are non-Wolfsburg 91's with jump seats. though.
there's one at my shop now, 91 Syncro, rubber floor mats, no tach, fixed
vent windows,
jump seats , but no fancy paneling with a fold-out table.
I wonder if it's something like US model, but european delivery.
I think you can have the ordinary outside rear view mirrors even on late
vans.
This 91 I have now has chrome bumpers, and those early style mirrors that
blow in the wind.
what color is it ?
I assume the price is pretty lowish.
Good used automatic transmissions are fairly rare I think.
Perhaps you figure to get seriously into the trans for a nice learning and
rebuilding process.
Sounds like fun..
'needs a muffler' ..
wouldn't be surprised if that is just the tip of the iceburg.
where is it from ....in terms of rust ?
guy just showed up with a near cherry Champaign color 86 GL with auto trans
to maybe buy the other day.
Really nice shape, one owner for 24 years, huge stack of receipts, new parts
everywhere you looked, ALT, AFM, PS Pump, new LT tires etc. etc.
Zero rust, never crashed, one ding.
Looked like a $ 5 to 6K van to me.
Asking price about half that.
what fun,
scott
