Subject: AC advice
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I have an 88 Westy that was hit pretty hard in the nose. I bought it wrecked because I knew the van and it was great runner with ice cold ac. Here is my dilemma I would like to pull the ac out of the wrecked westy and install in mine. I won't need the compressor because I have a zetec and will need the ford compressor. I have a 87 westy that I want to install it in. I need to know exactly what I need to pull. I am most worried about what I will need wiring harness wise like what runs from the front to the controls. Do I need to pull the harness and fan? I think the ac used the larger450 watt fan and I think my 87 has the smaller one. The wiring that goes from the front to rear is that bundled in with the main harness or will I be able to pull it by itself. Bottom line is I am hoping someone has done what I want to do and could give me some good direction. I want to install it one day and the next I am thinking no way. I need to get rid of the wrecked 88 westy soon and don't want to regret letting it go with the ac stuff. Sorry if this seems confusing looking forward to some good advice.

Bill
