Andrew joined us in February 2000 and his last post was 7/1/10.

Rest in peace my friend. Knowing you brought adventure to me and my family.

Many years ago, I came across a few BIG CRT monitors. BIG as in 21". Mac interface. I knew Andrew from both the VW lists and a few Mac lists. He heard about the monitors and wanted one. Uh huh. I couldn't successfully ship one from Oregon to California. Andrew (in italics) wanted me to ship one to New Zealand. Long story shortened: Oldest son was a Mayflower Moving Company driver. He hauled it from La Grande, OR to Lisa's parent's house in Borrego Springs, CA. It sat there for a couple months until youngest son came to visit. He hauled it to Pacific Beach, CA where it sat for another month until a good friend happened to be going to LA. Friend hauled it to LA and loaded it into the container that the University seemed to be shipping back and forth across the Pacific Ocean. A year after Andrew told me he wanted a big monitor, it arrived (intact and functional) in Dunedin. Adventure for the whole family.

I will miss Andrew.

Jim
