Hi Alfred,

Simply put, the attendant filling your tank did not know his job. Federal
law states that propane tanks mounted permanently on Recreational Vehicles
are exempt from inspection requirements.

The ten year limit that applies to 25lb tanks does not apply to your Vanagon.
