Subject: High Idle
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hey Volks, Recently my 1985 Westy has been idling faster than it used to and I can't figure out why. I've checked the accelerator cable and it doesn't appear to be hanging up anywhere. I have the 1.9L power beast engine and it was running great until I almost ran it out of gas. By almost I mean there was once or twice that it coughed a little like it was not getting fuel. I ran some 91 octane Shell through it with some injector cleaner in it too. And for the most part it is running fine except for the unusually fast idle. Once in a while if I stomp on the gas pedal it will drop down to what I consider a normal idle. My tach isn't working right now so I don't know the exact idle rpm. Thanx for any insight, Peace, Paul
