Hi Volks,

Anyone have any ideas where to look on this one. Connections to sensors seem good. O2 sensor is new. Gas milage is in the 16-18MPG range, which can probably be blamed largely on the age of the motor, which is a fairly high-milage 1.9. It gave similar milage in its prior life in my Dad's 85 westy.

The digifant FI system it's wearing now came with the vanagon, and was transplanted off the original engine after the PO blew two rods through the top of the case. It worked fine once the transplant was done and it seems like the high idle condition came along at the same time as the new O2 sensor was installed.

Other than this it's a really smooth running van, so I would like to get it sorted ASAP.

Happy Trails,
