It take a little effort but the motor can be changed without removing the regulator.

I'm trying to repair the right side power window. I have checked all the wiring and I am getting power to the motor which doesn't turn in either direction. The window is full up. The Bentley instructions on removing the regulator assembly assumes that it is working well enough to lower the window enough to get to the bolts attaching the window to the regulator. How do I get the window down enough to get to to these bolt? Is it possible to remove the motor from the regulator with it in the door? I checked the archives but didn't find these questions address.

Thanks for your help,

Ray
