A lot of posts in the archives detailing this.
The arm swivels on a steel post, and both that post and
the bracket in the arm are held on with allen/hex bolts that
need to be removed, coated with blue thread lock and put back on.
The arm bracket is held onto the seat-back bracket by a roll pin that
needs to be driven out. I altered a large nail and used a upholstery hammer
(happened to have one) to drive the pin out. You have to hold the upholstery
on the seat back and arm rest out of the way with your third arm and hand
....
I think that's the most difficult part. once the pin is removed the arm can
be swiveled off so you can get to those brackets that are held on by the
allen screws.
