sure ..soon's as I find the time. In Sausalito Ca I was around boot stuff for 13 years .. collected a few stainless steel vessels of various types from boat systems.

not hard to do really.. even just wrap a heater hose around and around a metal tank .. with many wraps and some insulaton. there's your water heater/warmer.

for some people that would take about half a six pack at the most.

Engine heat is often used in yachts for heating shower and galley water. I am surprised someone who's a Westie-gadget tinker er has not done one for vans. You could pull into camp and have a hot shower waiting, even on cloudy days or just turn on the motor for maybe 10 minutes.. Don Hanson

cool, is it baffled to prevent slosh inside ?

next you start thinking of how to get more surface area exposed to the sun etc.

thinking of less sunny days .. I haven't seen much in the way of a heater circuit heat exchange for on board hot water.

I also have a heat exchanger off a tdi engine .. it's an EGR cooler really, coolant runs through many tubes in it, and exhaust flows through it too .... cooling the exhaust before it's introduced into the engine for EGR., so can't see why that can't be used to heat shower water.
