In the past when I didn't want to wait for a specific hose, I took the bad
hose to the auto parts store and found either a similar hose or a piece of
another that I could splice in there temporarily. Your local FLAPS has racks
of them. My local place has them hanging from hooks along the ceiling, to
look and choose from.

Yes, of course, it is. But as I'm going to have to order one from somewhere
and wait for it to arrive, I need a temporary solution.
I think I like David's idea of the Rescue Tape. Now to find somewhere local
that actually sells it . . .
