I have the standard configuration (relay) for my Aux battery in my 84 Westy.
My goals were to provide a source for my inverter as well as giving me the option to power my Dometic on 12V while driving.
The problem is that with the relay, the aux battery does not seem to charge as quickly as the main battery, and will in fact drain when running the Dometic Fridge even when the van is running.
I plan to install a dual battery float charger for when I'm hooked up to shore power.
However, I just discovered this item for a "hi-tech" management of the Aux battery in a vehicle. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882260035
Need some expert opinions in configuring my battery set-up.
Thanks for the help!
