"I will explore the golf cart batteries but I really don't want to sacrifice storage needed for these much larger batteries." Wondering if that's a reference to a 100 AH Dry Cell/Gel Cell battery/batteries that would stow in the bench, or.....?? That sounds like a reference to the UB12220 batteries? Have you seen these? Have you seen them installed? Or does your sentence refer to two different types of batteries? Confusing. The only potential "glitch" I can report about the UB12220's is that they seem to become vulnerable after about 2 years use with the Vitrifrigo refrigerator, running a laptop periodically, and a little FM/CD play while parked. Oh, and cabin lights. I'm running mine with a Subaru H6 3.0 motor w/120amp alternator, 4 gauge wire running directly from the alt. + post to the Surepower 1315 Separator in the main battery box. By the way, I have an Odyssey 1200 in there, and have for about the last 4-5 years and it's going quite strong. These make a great main battery in my experience, but at only 44 AH don't have the poop for use as an aux bat. Already tried that. I've yet to pull the 4 UB12220 bank and charge it, then test each battery separately, but am getting symptoms that they as a unit, are no longer holding the charge they used to, by almost 50%.
