Be warned that if you have roadside assitance coverage through your auto or RV insurance policy, and have a lot claims, it can impact your car insurance rates. On an older vehicle like a Vanagon this may be a consideration. I was told this once by an agent and treated it with skepticism, until I also read it in a couple of articles such as this one on CNN:

Even though the chances are fairly minimal, roadside assitance from an auto club (AAA, etc.) cannot increase your car insurance rates under any circumstances.
