yeah,
this is exactly why you don't want the gas cap key to be the ignition key
also.

gas station attendants could easily damage your critical ignition key.
but if the cap takes a separate key, that can't happen.

and as I said the other day ..
if the gas cap key is on the same key ring as ign key, you can't drive off
without your gas cap on and locked.
