I "think" you will also find that Gorilla Tape (yes, same CO. as Gorilla Glue) to be a good temp fix. Super sticky and thick (read: VERY ROBUST) and once heated up, it sort of turns into fiber glass, or a hardened clamp around whatever you've applied it. I put it on 2 of my O2 sensors right at the wire coming out of the sensor, and within a couple heat cycles it had hardened into something tantamount to a shield, which is what I was looking for. And yes, you do want to replace the entire hose ASAP. bob
