I bought one of the ABS rear hatch panels, my 'experience' with it is just to check its fit and it fits perfectly.

Perfect fit includes that the many 8mm mounting holes correspond exactly with the holes in the hatch.

The mounting fasteners go through the panel holes and through the hatch/door/body mounting holes (the same holes the stock clips go into). When you turn in the screw, the fastener expands (Molly-style) to clamp the panel in place.

Here's a link to this style clamp:

It's not stock but have seen some abs panels for sale on the Samba. Anyone have personal experience with them? They look nice I just don't understand the mounting fastners.
