Brandon,

You deduced correctly that the roll pin holds the locking lever. You need a suitable 'drift' to drive the pin out. In a pinch, you can use a small nail with a tip ground flat. A pointed tip instrument would tend to lodge in the hole of the roll pin and cause it to expand and be more difficult to remove. I've also had good luck using old drill bits. They are much stiffer than nails which tend to bend when you use them as drifts.

BTW, attachments are not permitted on the List. This is why your photo attachment did not come through with your posting. If you must post a pic, use something like Picasa (since you already have gmail) and give us the link to the photo instead.
