I remember seeing the EV Patrician and the Klipsch La Scala at Toronto HiFi
when I was kid.
I'd gone in to look at the new Garrard 1019 turntable and got distracted.
The salesman happily demonstrated those speakers and a pair of
electrostatics that were something like 5 feet high, a foot and a half wide
and only an inch and a half deep. As I recall, they didn't have the big
bottom but they had a very even sound.
